Hi {firstname}, I hope you'll enjoy using EZPoint. A lot of
hard work has gone into it, so I'd really like to hear from
you if you have any kind of problems while you're using it.
Most of the program is self-explanatory, but there is
documentation provided in the EZPOINT.ZIP file that you
might want to look through. Also, there's help available at
most of the program prompts by hitting "?".
Your {root}\Bin\Runbink.Bat has been customized for your
use. Hopefully, you hit Shift-PrtSc during the last step of
the setup process. You might want to refer to the list of
function key definitions that are now available to you from
Binkley.
Most of your configuration files for point operation are
located in the {root} directory. There are also four
subdirectories below it:
{root}\Bin contains most of the programs required to run your point.
{root}\In is where "raw" message packets from your bossnode
will temporarily reside. EZPoint will unpackage them for
you.
{root}\Out is where the messages you type will be placed
after they've been bundled up and are ready to send to your
bossnode.
{root}\Msg contains your databases of messages.
Remember, {bossnet}/{bossnode}.{pointnode} is the address
that other FidoNet nodes use to send messages to your
system. Only your bossnode knows you as
{pointnet}/{pointnode}. This message should be addressed to
{bossnet}/{bossnode}, and should contain a TOPT {pointnode}
"kludge" line at the top.
Feel free to keep this message around, and R)eply to it
whenever you have a problem or question about the software.
